AMG A45 coming in two tunes

Some new reports are giving us a first look at the two different engine tunes that will be on tap for the A45. The standard model will have 383hp, while those opting for the A45S 4Matic+ will get 416hp. Those are some incredible figures for a 2.0l 4 cylinder imo. The more aggressive tune has 12hp more than the M2 competition. https://www.carscoops.com/2019/02/ne...6-hp-versions/

The AMG models are also getting a brand new AWD system, so it will be interested to see how that affects traction. I think this new configuration is the whole reason why we are seeing a specially designed drift mode for this car.

Can't wait for tuners like Brabus to get their hands on the A-Class line up because they've already hit nearly 400 on the CLA 45 AMG!

They are really pushing these smaller 4 cylinders to some amazing heights. I would imagine we will also be seeing some simple chiptunes for the AMG models, which will push output even higher.

Agreed, its pretty incredible. I doubt there is a whole lot of untapped potential locked behind the factory tune. Not sure I would risk straining the engine much more as that will have an impact on wear and longevity.

What should give everyone confidence in tuning the A-Class is what we've seen with the CLA.

I mean, CLA 45's are smoking GT-R's after all!

If that's happening and without fail most of the time, its something to take note of.
