A-Class to become worlds most aerodynamic production vehicle

According to Mercedes Benz, the body lines on the A-Class will make it the most aerodynamic vehicle that they have produced to date. It has a drag coefficient of only .22, which beats the outgoing CLA couple and the BMW 5 Series. They have apparently developed an extensive sealing concept that prevents air from getting into the cars nooks and crannies. We don't know whether or not the U.S bound model will share the same the exact same bodywork, but it should help to make this new car incredibly efficient.

If this is combined with impressive performance to the point we have a Nurburgring warrior on our hands then the A-Class can be MB's next iconic product. No other surround product MB offers has taken that spot yet. What are the odds this will?

It could very well set some records for this class, especially in the AMG variants. I just hope that this body styling isn't exclusive to China, because we don't really know for sure what will change on the NA model.

I think MB has already said that there haven't been many changes to the Chinese variant. I know the biggest difference is the exclusive long wheel base model.

Often car makers just focus on minor styling changes from market to market, sometimes its influenced by safety regulations, sort of like what the Lexus NX that got a weird front bumper for North America.
