Production 2019 Mercedes A-Class Rendered

A Japanese site called Response, had the new 2019 Mercedes A-Class rendered, perhaps using design elements gleaned from a recently released winter testing video or the new third-gen CLS. In any case, the artist tried to come up with something that was sportier and more luxurious than the outgoing model.

Crudely translated by Google, we’re told that the rendering features a newly designed set of headlights that was inspired by the Concept A Sedan Mercedes first introduced at the 2017 Shanghai Auto Show. There’s the recognizable triangular-shape with a sharp, downward angle. The rear sports a set of horizontal, teardrop-shaped taillights, which narrows towards the license plate.

Though we cannot confirm these following specs as true, the publication does mention a larger cargo space that has been expanded to 290 liters and 370 mm. This was done in an effort to increase practically whilst retaining its sporty design.

Then there were a few powertrains listed including a 1.6-liter in-line 4-cylinder engine and a new 2-liter in-line 4-cylinder turbo diesel unit, the latter being offered with a 6-speed manual transmission and 9-speed DCT.

Mercedes has not confirmed the A-Class’ engine lineup yet, so we’ll have to wait for its world premiere at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show in March.

Not a bad look, you just have to imagine it with edges and the panels having more form and curve going on much like the CLA and new C/E Class sedans. Even with design that has some flaws it will still stand out. Can't wait to see the real deal in full.

The feature that stands out the most are those headlights, which I hope makes its way onto the production model in some form. Overall the rendering just needs a few more creases and ridges, or maybe just larger air intakes.

Its the predator face that the new Hypercar has, so if you want to see how it looks in its prime then that's where you can start. Best of all its a hypercar that will be coming to market.... even better.... this A-Class sedan is one of the first high volume products to share its design DNA
